All artists are invited!
The Church and the arts have always had a special relationship, with the Church often supporting sculptors, painters and musicians, and commissioning works. HTK Church holds an Art Show to encourage and recognise local artists.
The Art Show has an Opening Night, and is open for viewing for 7-10 days. Arrangements are made for the local Retirement Villages to have special viewings of the Art Show and enjoy a cup of coffee at less crowded times.
(Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the Art Show was not held in 2020, and a decision is yet to be made for 2021).

Date & Theme: TBC
Number of artworks: up to 5 works per artist
Open Sections: Biblical section "God at Work on the Sunshine Coast" and General Section "All Things Bright and Beautiful"
Student Sections: Two sections are allocated for students. Students also have the option to enter the Open Sections.
Prizes: In 2019, total prizes were valued at $1250.
Prize categories typically include:
- Section awards
- Student award
- High school student encouragement award
- Primary student encouragement award.
We typically receive over 150 entries and approximately 200 people view the exhibition of artworks. Opportunity exists for artists to sell their works through the Art Show. Opening nights, especially, are well attended.
Each year the number of entrants and quality of artworks has increased, and has included a range of artworks from our student entrants.
