What happens during a Church Service?

Our Church Service starts with uplifting music, followed by readings from the bible, and a Sermon delivered by our Priest. We then pray together, then we share communion, which everyone is invited to participate in. If you are seeking individual counsel, dedicated prayer is offered at the front of the Church during this time. We conclude our Service with any announcements and celebrations that we have, and then some more singing.

How long does the service go for?

The Sunday service starts at 9am and wraps up around 10:15am.

The Wednesday service starts at 10am and is finished by 10:45am

Both services are followed by a free morning tea which you are very welcome to join

What is the music like?

The music on Sunday is a mix of traditional hymns and contemporary songs.

The music on Wednesday is traditional hymns played on the organ.

Do I have to know someone at the Church before I can come along?

Everyone is welcome to come to any of our services, regardless if you know anyone in the congregation or not! You’ll soon make a new friend or two!

Will there be someone there that I can talk to?

Always! There is a welcomer at the door, before each service, to welcome you in and to answer any questions that you may have. Once inside, you are always welcome to just ‘pull up a pew’ and take a seat next to anyone in our congregation!

What is the vibe of the Church?

The Church is very relaxed and welcoming. Both the service and music at HTK take everyone into consideration, from the young, to the young at heart! This is done so that everyone feels welcome, and can enjoy worship together!

What is the age group of the congregation?

Our congregation is a mix of ages. We have everyone from babies to great grand-parents!

Will I have to give any money?

Giving money is not a requirement. If you feel as though you want to, there is a bowl passed around during service, but no one is in anyway obligated to give.

What do I wear?

Everyone is welcome to come as they are.

Can I bring my kids?

Absolutely! There is nothing that fills the heart more on a Sunday than seeing the kids joining in!

What activities are available for kids?

There is Kids’ Church during the service every Sunday. The kids will explore a Bible story, and then follow it up with a craft activity. Stickers, drawing, and FUN!

Do I have to bring anything?

The only thing that you need to bring is yourself!

Is the Church Accessible?

Our Church is accessible, and also has accessible bathroom facilities.

What facilities does the Church have?

Our Church is a large sun-filled space. We have inside seated areas, as well as shaded outdoor areas where you can enjoy a coffee. The grounds also include a basketball court, playground and large green spaces surrounded by beautiful trees.

Is there Parking?

There is free parking onsite, and overflow parking on the streets surrounding the Church.
